Dear Azure folks,
Microsoft Windows Azure’s latest service release!
What is the service name?
It is a caching service (Windows Azure AppFabric Caching Service).
Is it on production environment?
Why it is for?
It improves performance of the Windows Azure and SQL Azure applications. The caching service is distributed and in-memory application cache service that keeps the data in-memory and improves the performance by accessing data from memory instead storage or database.
Is it a paid service?
Yes, There are six different sizes available for one to choose. Size options starts from 128MB to 4G. Bust for promotional period – There is no charge for this service till August 1, 2011.
