What is Hadoop?


Big data and Hadoop are the most popular words in the 2012, 2013 and going forward. Digital world has started using huge data for analysis. But, the traditional database management systems are not capable of handling BIG data. So, Hadoop was born to help data analyst and data scientist.

Hadoop is a free, Java-based programming framework that supports the processing of large data sets in a distributed computing environment.
