Set TextSize and @@TextSize – SQL Server


@@TEXTSIZE : This function returns the current value of the TextSize option. It returns an integer value.

SET TEXTSIZE : This option is to specifies the size of data to be returned by a SELECT statement. This setting only applies to these data types varchar(max), nvarchar(max), varbinary(max), text, ntext, and image. Some of these data types such as ntext , text, and image will be removed in the future version of SQL Server.

Implementation

1. Get value of the @@TextSize

We can set the size value from 0 to 2 GB in bytes integer value. 0 means 4 KB.
