Hotfixes in cumulative update 4 for SQL Server 2012 SP1 – SSIS


Microsoft released hotfixes for SQL2012 SP1 recently. This cumulative updates contain fixes for database engine, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. In this blog post I am going to highlight the fixes available for SSIS.

Note: Install service packs or cumulative update in the test machine first to check whether the system performs its operation normally or not.

Fixes for SSIS in this cumulative update 4 for SQL Server 2012 SP1

  1. Unexpected Termination” when we run SSIS packages by using SQL Server Agent jobs in SQL Server 2012
  2. Slow performance” when we run the SSIS Server Maintenance Job to remove old data in SQL Server 2012
  3. We can’t create or open SSIS projects or maintenance plans after we apply Cumulative Update 3 for SQL Server 2012 SP1
